Craig Erickson has undergone successful arthroscopic surgery to repair ligament damage to his right knee, said Hurricane physician John Uribe, who operated on the Miami quarterback.
"Craig was found to have significant injury to the ligaments in his right knee. He underwent a successful repair of those ligaments," Uribe said Thursday. "We expect Craig to be off crutches within six weeks,"Erickson injured his knee Tuesday while doing drills in preparation for the Hula Bowl, scheduled for Saturday in Honolulu, Hawaii.
"In my opinion this won't hurt him at all in the upcoming draft," said Miami coach Dennis Erickson, adding that he hopes the senior quarterback from West Palm Beach makes a speedy recovery.
