Even though fields are buried beneath winter snows, Utah farmers can learn new ways to increase alfalfa hay yield at the Utah Hay Symposium Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 21-22.

The biennial symposium will draw on the expertise of a dozen Utah State University Cooperative Extension specialists.The two-day conference, sponsored by the Utah Farm Bureau and USU Extension, is designed to help farmers get the most from the state's top crop industry, which produces more than 2 million tons of forage on 450,000 acres.
