A woman says she repeatedly pleaded with Robert Lujan, the son of Interior Secretary Manuel Lujan, while he allegedly held her at gunpoint for several hours before raping her in her apartment last year.

"There was no time that I felt confident that I could reach the gun before he did," the woman testified at the younger Lujan's trial Wednesday. "Many times he would say, `Please take your clothes off."'Lujan, 28, is charged with rape, sodomy, burglary and a weapons violation.

Several members of Lujan's family were at the courthouse in this Washington suburb but were not present during the trial because they may be called to testify as defense witnesses.
