Alpine School District recently appointed Kolene F. Granger to be its new assistant superintendent of instructional services, replacing Brian Page, who resigned in December.
Granger comes to the district from the State Office of Education where she served as an associate superintendent for the past three years. She is returning to a position she held before taking the state position. She also served for six years as Alpine's coordinator of guidance and she worked as a curriculum consultant for Jordan School District.Granger received a bachelor's degree, a master's degree and a doctorate from Brigham Young University. She has served on several national and state educational committees. Granger said the ideal educational leader understands and practices the principals of participatory management.
