Dexter Edward Francisco, 57, of Tropic, died January 15, 1991 in Provo after a valiant five and half year struggle with cancer.

Born November 7, 1933 in Henrieville, Utah to Charles Edward and Viola Smith Francisco. He married Lillis Baugh in Tropic, Utah July 19, 1958 and reared four children.Survived by his wife, Lillis, Tropic; four children, Mrs. Wade (Patricia) Dotson, Bagdad, Arizona; Marlin "Slim" Francisco, and Deann Francisco, both of Tropic; Anita Francisco, St. George; two grandchildren; four sisters, Varis Simkins, Circleville; Mrs. Leland (Berthene) Griffin, Henrieville; Mrs. Clark (Roma) Evans, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ward (Lola) Gibson, Hurricane; two brothers, Charles Francisco, Tropic; William Francisco, Cedar City. Preceded in death by a fifth sister, LaDean "Alvey" Fowler.

Fellow workers at Bryce Canyon National Park have established a fund at Zions First National Bank at Panguich, Utah in the name of Dexter E. Francisco to assist in providing for the future needs of his family.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 18, 1991 at 1 p.m. in the Tropic LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 11-12:30 p.m. on Friday. Interment with military rites by the Bryce Valley American Legion post #25 in the Henrieville Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary.
