David Marriner Berntson, 83, died Monday, January 14, 1991 in Ogden, of kidney failure.

He was born May 3, 1907 in Logan, a son of Fredrick and Annie Georgeson Berntson. He married Edith Lenoir Humphreys, August 1, 1931, in Bountiful. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. He had been a jeweler for many years in Logan, Ogden, and Salt Lake City. He retired from Hill Air Force Base, where he was an instrument repair technician. He was a High Priest in the Ogden 4th LDS Ward, at the time of his death. Meg loved life, his family and friends, traveling and gardening.Surviving are his wife, Lenoir, Ogden; daughter, Patricia Ann (Pat) Farley, Ogden; son, David Clarke Berntson, Salt Lake City; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call Thursday 11:45-12:45 p.m. Interment: Ogden City Cemetery.
