Ten years after the death of legendary jazz bassist Charles Mingus, a 500-page score was discovered among his papers. This was "Epitaph," the largest and longest work ever composed for the jazz orchestra.

"Epitaph" will air Friday, Jan. 18, 8 p.m., on KUER radio (FM-90.1). The live show will be performed in Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall by 30 of the greatest musicians in the jazz world.
