Our beloved mother and grandmother, Frances Mae Brown Hawkins, age 90, passed away Jan. 13, 1991 in Salt Lake City.
Born July 2, 1900 in Calatia, Kansas to Charley Donley and Martha Dee Brown. Married Clarence Merrit Hawkins Mar. 20, 1921 in Cheyenne Wells, Colo.; he passed away Oct. 25, 1965. High School graduate of Grate Bend, Kans. Taught two years before getting married. Member of the First United Methodist Church, Senior Citizen Achiever and VFW Auxillary, Post 4355.Survived by three daughters and two sons, Vada Dee Thomas, Sioux Falls, South Dak.; Hazel M. Phillips, Omaha, Nebr.; Edna M. Zeimet, Norfork, Calif.; Jack F., Salt Lake City; Marion E., Omaha Nebr.; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Elmer Brown, and Edna Pingrie, both of Calif. Preceded in death by a son, Lon Everette and daughter, Pearl Gruber.
Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 203 South 200 East, Thursday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. Friends may call Wednesday evening 7-8 p.m. at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, and Thursday, one hour prior at the Church.
