Lyle Roundy, 64, passed away Sunday, January 13 1991, at Humana Hospital Davis North in Layton of heart failure.

He was born July 15, 1926 in Kamas, Utah, a son of Wren and Arlean Gines Roundy. He married Erma L. Mitchell March 28, 1949 in Flagstaff, Arizona. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was raised and educated in Kamas and spent the past 30 years in Kaysville. He had worked as an aircraft mechanic at Hill Air Force Base for 38 years.He was an active member of the Kaysville 16th LDS Ward and served in various leadership and teaching positions. He loved and excelled at teaching the gospel. He coached Young Mens basketball and softball teams. He had coached Little League baseball for many years and was an active member of the Utah Trail Riders. He loved sports and horses. He enjoyed working on his farm. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Navy. His family was the center of his life and he was a man of his word.

Surviving are his wife, Kaysville; five sons and four daughters, Alan Wren and wife, Julie Roundy, El Cajon, California; Michael Lyle and wife Madelyn Roundy, David Roundy, Aaron and wife Shelly Roundy, all of Kaysville; Shad Roundy, Lynnwood, Wash.; Mrs. Philip (Debbie) Randolph, Riverdale; Mrs. Norman (Penny) Anderson, Layton; Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Allen, Lynnwood, Wash.; Mrs. Michael (Becky) Mueller, Layton; 28 grandchildren; one brother, Merrill Roundy, Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville 16th LDS Ward Chapel, 50 West 300 South. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and Thursday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Hill Air Force Honor Guard.
