The Governor's Commission for Women and Families will introduce the second edition of "Utah Women and the Law: A Resource Handbook" at an open house Tuesday, Jan. 15, at A Woman's Place Bookstore, 1400 Foothill Drive.

The open house runs from 5 to 8 p.m. At 5:30 p.m. there will be a presentation by Colleen Colton, Gov. Norm Bangerter's administrative assistant for women's issues; Denise Dragoo, president of Utah Women Lawyers Inc.; and Aileen Clyde, chairperson of the Gender and Justice Committee.While not a substitute for legal counsel, "Utah Women and the Law: A Resource Handbook" introduces readers to common legal problems faced by women, including divorce, taxes, child custody and consumer rights.
