Former WBA heavyweight boxing champion Michael "Dynamite" Dokes was arrested for investigation of drug charges and will be arraigned in three weeks.

Dokes, 32, was booked Saturday night for investigation of possession of cocaine, influence of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, destruction of evidence, speeding and failing to register with police as an ex-felon.Dokes was driving a Mercedes Benz when he was stopped for allegedly speeding on U.S. Highway 95, police said. Told he was under arrest, Dokes "said he wasn't going" and began to run, the desk officer said. Dokes allegedly tossed a bag containing a white substance from his pocket, the desk officer said.
