Utah County Sheriff's Department officials have released the name of an 87-year-old man whose pickup truck collided with a train Friday afternoon.

The man was identified as Goldburn L. Knudson, Provo. Knudson was driving east on 1600 North when he collided with a northbound Union Pacific train at approximately 2050 West. The train was traveling 20 to 25 mph and was sounding its horn to alert Knudson, according to Utah County Sheriff's Department officials who are investigating the case.Knudson was taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for broken ribs and was released Friday evening.
