An acrylic art class will begin in February for senior citizens with special needs. It will be held on Mondays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the L. Clark Cushing Heritage Center, 10 E. 6150 South.
Lenore Schow, the volunteer instructor, is trained in teaching persons who are restricted because of either physical or mental disabilities. Schow teaches "mouth" painting to persons who do not have use of their hands because of paralysis or cerebral palsy. She also has taught students who have Alzheimer's disease.Cost is $5 for the three-month session. Supplies must be provided by the participant. Call 264-2635.
