The Wasatch Hollow Community Council is sponsoring a Winter Carnival to raise funds for a neighborhood park. The festivities will take place at the site of the new park, 1650 S. 1700 East, on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 2 to 6 p.m. Junior high school students from Clayton and Hillside will supervise the games and award prizes for ice fishing, snowshoe races (snowshoes provided), an ice-sculpture contest (entry fee is $5 per team), snowball throw and more.

There will be refreshments, photos, balloons and a cookie-decorating booth. For details call Cherri Leypoldt at 485-8380.
