Family members began getting calls about the move shortly after Wednesday's Geneva talks ended. "We got a call. They're going to move us. They told us on our breaks to come out here and call our families," a company member named Camile told her mother, Dolores McRay, in Roy."She was really sad," McRay said. "They were hoping things would get settled down."

The MPs will be the seventh Utah National Guard unit to leave the states for the Persian Gulf.

"The unit, which was activated for 180 days on Dec. 6, will likely provide guards for prisoners of war, civilian internees and for U.S. military installations and facilities," said Guard spokesman Maj. Bob Nelson.
