Eugene Vivian Stone, age 84, died Saturday January 10, 1991 at the University Hospital.
He was born January 24, 1906 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, the son of Charles and Mary Jollow Stone. He married Wilma Ruth Parker September 7, 1935 in Grand Junction, Colorado. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He was raised in Coalville, and Winter Quarters near Schofield, attending schools there. He has lived in Salt Lake City for the past 50 years. He had been employed by the D. & R. G. W. Railroad for 50 years. He was a member of the LDS Church and had served in the bishopric, and as High Priest group leader. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Salt Lake City; one son, Richard L. Stone and wife Doris, Millersville, Pennsylvania; two grandsons, Richard and Jason Stone; one brother, Lawrence Stone, Provo.
Funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the Waterloo-McKay Ward, 1623 South 500 East. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. or Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery, under direction of Wheeler Mortuary.
