The set of "The Marrying Man," a Disney film starring Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin, was not a happy place, according to Premiere magazine.
The stars, who moved in together during the filming, made life miserable for the crew with their demands and their attitude. Basinger at one point told filmwriter Neil Simon, "This isn't funny. Whoever wrote this doesn't understand comedy."Simon, who has written more funny movies and plays than most people can count, turned on his heel and left the set, rarely to be seen again.
A crew member, requesting anonymity, offered an explanation for the behavior: "We create the monsters that they become. When the studios grant their every whim, what do you expect?"
