Dr. Barbara Boineau has been promoted to director of chemical dependency at the Heritage Residential Treatment Center for Troubled Teens.

Boineau holds a doctorate degree in educational psychology from Duke University in Durham, N.C. and has worked as a therapist at the center for three years.A New Jersey native, she has worked: at the Carolina Friends Quaker School in Chapel Hill, N.C.; as a school psychologist of the Durham City schools; a post-doctoral fellowship at the Children's Center in Salt Lake City; clinical director at the Salt Lake Cottage Program; the Ogden ADAPT program; and the Bountiful Benchmark program.

Boineau has a trade publication, "Focus on Optimal Development," and is part-owner of an environmental health company in Park City. She is married, the mother of three children and recently certified as an emergency medical technician.
