The University of Utah department of music will host an international composer conference at Pack Creek Ranch in Moab Feb. 1-3.

Composers from London, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, and the Intermountain West will teach the conference for composition teachers, students and free-lance composers. Henry C. Wolking, U. composer-in-residence and music professor, is workshop director.Registration deadline is Jan. 18. Sign-up is through the Division of Continuing Education for music course 52R-40, non-credit. The $187.50 fee includes meals and ranch-style rooms.

The conference is presented under the auspices of the U. College of Fine Arts Moab Center. Pack Creek is a working ranch and inn located in the foothills of the La Sal Mountains. For further information call Henry Wolking, 581-6763.
