Utah native and University of Utah graduate Gary D. Kennedy has been appointed president and chief executive officer of PRC Inc., McLean, Va., a subsidiary of The Black and Decker Corp.

Kennedy was born in Randolph, Rich County, attended South Rich High School and received a bachelor's degree in finance from the U. He received a master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.He started with PRC last November following eight years with Oracle Systems Corp. Kennedy founded Oracle USA, a principal subsidiary, and it grew to $500 million in annual revenue and 3,000 employees. In 1989, PRC, a computer systems services company, had $709 million in revenue.
