A Kaysville man faces two prison terms after pleading guilty Tuesday in 2nd District Court to repeatedly sexually abusing a young girl and showing her pornographic material.
Jacke W. Goode, 37, pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a child, a second-degree felony, and dealing in material harmful to a minor, a third-degree felony, in a plea negotiation with prosecutors.He was originally charged with rape of a child, a first-degree felony that carries a prison term of five years to life.
Goode faces terms of one to 15 years on the sexual abuse charge and zero to five years on the pornography charge. Prosecutor Carvel Harward said Goode admitted to fondling and having sexual intercourse with the girl, who was under 14 years of age at the time.
Judge Rodney S. Page set a Feb. 5 sentencing date.
