M. McClain Bybee, director of donor services for the LDS Foundation, is the new director of development at Brigham Young University, President Rex E. Lee has announced.

Lee expressed appreciation for the excellent work Bybee has done as interim director since last May.Bybee filled that role while Karl N. Snow Jr. took a leave from the university to run for political office. Following his unsuccessful bid for office, Snow chose to return to BYU's Marriott School of Management, where he formerly served as a professor of public management.

As director of development, Bybee is responsible for coordinating all fund-raising programs at the university.

Bybee, who once served in management of a major hotel in Las Vegas, has been with the LDS Foundation for more than 15 years.
