No one was injured in this small car fire, but Salt Lake firefighters had a difficult time hauling water up to the sixth level of the former JC Penney terrace because the water has been turned off there for several months. A 1950 Chevrolet caught fire about 7 a.m. Thursday in the downtown parking terrace, and the smell of burning rubber filled the streets below. The car had apparently been parked on the sixth level of the parking terrace at 200 S. Main for more than three months, said Jim Kleine, battalion commander. Although the cause of the fire is still under investigation, Kleine said arson is suspected.
