Dr. Leslie David Burbidge, Jr., age 54, Salt Lake Dentist, died January 8, 1991, in a local hospital from motor vehicle accident injuries.
Born February 19, 1936, Salt Lake City, Utah to Leslie David and Grace Kirkham Burbidge. Married Linda Moyle Nelson, August 17, 1962, in theLogan LDS Temple. Graduate Olympus High School, University of Utah and Northwestern University Dental School. Member Sigma Chi Fraternity. U.S. Air Force Captain. Active member, ADA and UDA. Former resident of Cedar City, Utah.Received Jaycees Outstanding Young Men Award and Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow Award. chairman, Zion Mission Park; Cedar City councilman. Served LDS mission to New Zealand; member of the Chicago North Shore and Cedar City Stake High Councils; Cedar West Stake mission president; organized Genealogical Extraction Program for Cedar West Stake. Serving as Young Men's president in the Cottonwood 12th Ward at the time of his death.
Survivors, wife, Linda; daughters, Mrs. David (Kirstin) Weixler, Shanon Gay, Salt Lake; Robin Lyn, LDS Portugal-Lisbon mission; sons, Leslie David III, LDS Puerto Rico-San Juan mission; and Kirkham Moyle, Salt Lake City; grandson, David Heinz Weixler, Jr; mother, Salt Lake City; sisters, Mrs. Bruce F. (Suzanne) Sorenson, Salt Lake City; and his twin-sister, Mrs. J. Fred (Phyllis) Pingree, Walnut Creek, California. Preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services Saturday, January 12th, 12 noon, Cottonwood 12th Ward, 1750 East Spring Lane (5000 South). Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Friday 6-8 pm, and at Church, Saturday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
