The wife of the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture will be one of the featured speakers at this year's Utah Green Industry Conference and Trade Show Wednesday through Friday, Jan. 16-18, at the State Fairgrounds in Salt Lake City.

Jeanne Yeutter, wife of Clayton Yeutter, and founder of Trees-Mend-Us, will speak at the opening session of the three-day workshop and conference.Covering more than 25 horticulture-related topics, the conference is designed to provide home gardeners and those in the nursery industry with the latest in horticulture research, said Larry Sagers, Utah State University Extension horticulturist.

The conference, open to the public, is sponsored by USU Extension Service and Continuing Education, the Utah Association of Nurserymen and Landscape Contractors and the U.S. Forest Service.

Participants can register at the door. Registration for all three days is $110; for the tree workshop only, $45; for the remaining two days, $69; for the trade show only, $5 a day. For more information, call 750-1751.
