Owen Lawrence Davis, born January 4, 1917, in Axson, Georgia to Harvey Otis and Annabelle Williams Davis, died January 7, 1991.

He married Clarissa May Bell on May 5, 1946, in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1988. Member of LDS Church, Bingham 2nd Ward; formerly a member of the Highland Park Ward for 28 years. He filled a temple mission to Atlanta, Georgia and loved his work as a sealer in the Jordan River Temple. He served very proudly as a Gunnery Sergeant in the US Marines and was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He worked as a Procurement Supervisor for Tooele Army Depot and retired in 1973 after 30 years. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, crossword puzzles, and his family.He is survived by his wife, Clarissa May Bell; three daughters, Mrs. James G. (Marie) Clegg; Vickie Wozab; Susan Argyle; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Barbara Francom; Owen R. and June Davis; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., January 11, 1991 at Highland Park Ward, 2535 Douglas Street (1240 East). Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, and Friday at the ward 12:45-1:45 p.m., prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
