Heber M. Rasband 91 died January 7, 1991 in a Heber City Hospital.

Born July 15, 1899 in Heber City to Joseph A. and Eliza Jeffs Rasband. Married Birdie Jane Bate January 27, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death, April 20, 1977. Graduate of Wasatch High School and Brigham Young University. BYU Debate Team Honorary Awards. Active member of the LDS Church, served as Bishop of the Heber 1st Ward for 12 years, ward clerk, Stake High Council, and Stake YMMIA president. Served in the Western States mission.Organized and served as director of the Wasatch County Senior Citizens, and was honored as outstanding Senior Citizen of Wasatch County in 1974. Heber Lions Club president, Fair Board chairman, Seminary teacher. Served as Heber City Postmaster for 33 years and was president of the Utah Chapter Postmasters. State Chairman Transportation for Postmaster Conventions for several years. He and his wife traveled extensively. He was Committee Member from Wasatch County to Mountainland Association of Governments. Veteran of World War I.

Survived by children, Heber Garth Rasband, Orem; Mrs. Marvis (Joan) Bond and Mrs. Kay (Jean) Ritchie, Heber City; 21 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mark Rasband, Lincoln Rasband, Mrs. Leonard (Mary) Bacon, all of Heber City; Irving Rasband, Salt Lake City; Mima Rasband, Provo. Preceded in death by a son, Weston, granddaughter, Elaine Bond Koyle, brothers, Sylvan, Walter, Reed, Arthur.

Funeral services Friday, January 11, 1991, 11 a.m. in the Heber 6th Ward. Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary Thursday 6:30-8:30 p.m. and at the church Friday, one hour prior to services. Burial, Heber City Cemetery.
