Raymond Wilford Blake, 86, passed peacefully from this life on January 5, 1991, at his home in West Valley City, Utah.
Born August 28, 1904, in Park City, Utah, to William J. and Magdelina Anderson Blake. Attended Park City Schools. Married Sarah Regena Gay June 27, 1928, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 1969, after 48 years of service. Member of Union Pacific Old Timers. He loved and thrived on hard work, a trait he passed on to his children. His hobbies included woodworking, traveling, dancing and camping with his wife.He is survived by: children, Bonnie, West Jordan; Myron, Clayton, California; Dan, Bennion; daughter-in-law, Diane Blake, San Jose, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; dear friend, Cassie Hatfield. Preceded in death by wife, Regena, three sisters, and son, Raymond G. Blake.
Services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at the Taylorsville 18th Ward, 4310 South 3200 West. Friends may call Friday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road, and Saturday at the church, from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
