Our beloved brother and friend, Dale Alma Stevenson, age 83, passed away peacefully Jan. 6, 1991, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dale was born Nov. 8, 1907, in Ephraim, Utah, the son of Joseph Alma and Laura Thorpe Stevenson. He married Dorothea Sutton on Aug. 9, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She preceded him in death in 1986. Attended Snow College. Served his country in the Coast Guard during World War II. Active member of the Salt Lake Elks Club. Worked for many years in the office of Equatable Life; and as a roofing contractor for American Roofing. Avid golfer and one time amateur champion in the Salt Lake area.Enjoyed the out doors, hunting and fishing with his family especially the Ephraim/"Joe's Valley" area. He had a great love for animals. Dale was a kind and loving individual who was respected and admired by all who knew him. His passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Goodman, Salt Lake City; and Erma (husband Vere C.) Halliday, Highland; sister-in-law, Juanita Stevenson, Salt Lake City; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by two brothers Carroll and Burke; and a sister Era.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 9 1991, 1 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, with Bishop Judd A. Turner officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
