Oscar Segovia, beloved husband, father and friend, age 76, passed away peacefully January 7, 1991, at the home of his daughter in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born March 28, 1914, in Junin, Peru to Jose D. and Vicenta A. Sornoza Segovia. He married Petronila A. Juarez on March 16, 1953 in Lima, Peru; later solemnized in the Sao Paulo, Brazil LDS temple. Active High Priest in the LDS Church, served in many positions including Branch President of the Catacaos Branch. Served a mission with his wife to the Lima, South Peru mission.Survived by his wife Petronila A. Juarez, of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Rosa, Salt Lake City; and three sisters. Preceded in death by a son, Oscar Dalmacio.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 10th, 1 p.m., at the East Millcreek 12th Ward, 2702 East Evergreen Ave. (3425 So.), with Bishop David Poulsen presiding. Friends may call Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Larkin Sunset Garden of the Valley. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
