Duella Bradshaw Dewey Bateman, age 77, passed away January 6, 1991, after a lingering illness in Taylorsville, Utah.
Born November 6, 1913 in Lyman, Wyoming, a daughter of George and Rebecca Eyre Bradshaw. Married Robert Charles Dewey, April 25, 1932, who preceded her in death August 1959. Married Alden LeRoy Bateman, March 31, 1965. Member of LDS Church. Served in Relief Sociey and in various other callings in the church. Served mission with husband, Al, in the London South Mission. Served several years over the branch at Golden Living Center. Enjoyed serving as a worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple for many years. She was a wonderful compassionate person and will be missed by all who knew her.Survived by: husband; three sons and one daughter, Robert and wife, Ida Lue, Richard and wife, Colleen, George and wife, Nancy, Mrs. Brett (Darla) Rock; stepchildren, Lynn and wife, Diane, Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Durfee, Mrs. Lyle (Donna) Fort; three brothers, Rulon and wife, Mary, Blaine and wife, Polly, Melvin and wife, Larene, one sister, Myrtte Twitchell; 40 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers, Clyde, Clinton, Dee Grant and sister, Vella.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 12 noon, at the Gardens 2nd Ward, 4252 South 1905 West. Friends may call Wednesday, 5-8 p.m., at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Thursday, at the chrch, 11-11:40 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
