Allie Homer Burke, our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and cherished friend, passed away on January 5, 1991, in Sandy, Utah.

Born December 2, 1921, in Colomo, Wisconsin, the son of Rudolph Zacharias and Lula Burke. Married Virginia Christina Bass on September 9, 1945, in Sandy, Utah. He was an honorable veteran of World War II, having served in the army. He received the Victory and Good Conduct Medals during his time in the service of his country. He was a member of the American Legion, Sandy Post. He was inducted in the Utah Archery Hall of Fame. Member of the Utah Bowmen's Association. Official measurer of the Pope and Young Awards. He was a longtime employee of Utah Power & Light, having retired from them.Survivors: wife, Virginia; children, JoAnne and Duaine Buck, Tim and Rosemary Burke, Nancy and Art Payton, David and Sandra Burke, Rudy and Kerrie Burke; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 9, 1991, 11 a.m., at the Mountainview Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South, in Salt Lake City, where friends and family may call on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m., and also on Wednesday, one hour prior to the services. Interment, Mountainview Memorial Estates.
