Norma Jean Young, 62, died January 6, 1991, in Heber City Hospital.
Born September 5, 1928, in Heber City to Frank and Mary Platt Clegg. Married Kent K. Young August 2, 1952, in Elko, Nevada. Active member of the LDS Church. Served in numerous capacities, especially enjoyed her involvement in the sports programs. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and made them the central part of her life. She loved people and enjoyed being around them, giving much of herself. Many children, friends and family were recipients of her beautiful handwork, many of which she designed herself. Will be missed by all, but especially her beloved husband, who rendered untiring service and care to her during her long illness.Survived by: husband of Heber City; children, Mrs. Richard (Jean) Zufelt, Vernal; Bill Young, Green River, Wyoming; Kent Young, Riverton; Mrs. Michael (Debra) Gillespie, Upland, California; Steve Young, Spanish Fork; Kevin Young, Taylorsville; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mrs. Brigham (Evelyn) Young, Wallsburg; brothers and sisters, Frank Clegg, Jr., Oroville, Calif.; Wayne (Shug) Clegg and Mrs. Delaine (Ruby) Sweat, Heber City; Mrs. Bill (Opal) Sleight, Lyman, Wyoming. Preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Funeral services Thursday, 1 p.m., in the Heber 4th Ward. Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary Wedneday, 6-8 p.m., and Thursday, one hour prior to services. Burial, Heber City Cemetery.
