Two Salt Lake businessmen have been appointed to the Salt Lake regional board of directors of Key Bank of Utah, according to Ross E. Kendell, president.

They are Michael T. Young, president of Young Electric Sign Co., and Jeffrey J. O'Neill, president of Quaker State Minit-Lube Inc.Kendell said Young's knowledge and expertise in the signage industry is of significant interest to the bank and other board members while O'Neill's knowledge about the energy industry will provide valuable insight to the bank and the board.

Young graduated from the University of Utah with bachelor's degrees in finance and management. He has taken over a business started in 1920 that has expanded from a small local sign manufacturer to a major multistate operation.

O'Neill's working career began at McDonald's as a crew member, and he eventually became a store manager, area supervisor and field consultant. He began working for Minit-Lube in 1981 as director of company store operations and in 1987 became president.
