A Nov. 28 trial date has been set for Robert Victor Frandsen, who is charged in connection with the March 2 stabbing death of Vance E. Boren.
Frandsen, 39, 5324 S. Appian Way, pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal homicide, murder in the second degree and aggravated assault before 3rd District Court Judge Frank Noel. A pretrial hearing was set for Nov. 18 at 1:30 p.m. with the trial to commence at 10 a.m. Nov. 28.Boren died after being stabbed with a pair of scissors during a scuffle with an intruder at the home of Terry Frandsen about 12:30 a.m.
A probable cause statement filed with the complaint said that Terry Frandsen saw Boren and her estranged husband, Robert Frandsen, fighting. She then saw Boren, covered with blood, fall to the floor. Frandsen, carrying a bloody pair of scissors, then threatened her. He then pushed her to the floor and kicked her in the head.
