The Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a business day at the Legislature Friday, Jan. 18, in the State Capitol. The cost is $10 and because of space limitations registrations will be kept at 200.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. in the rotunda followed by several workshops to explain the legislative process, how to lobby, the role of business in the legislative process and business issues facing the legislators.Gov. Norm Bangerter has been invited to speak and Fred S. Ball, chamber president, will talk about how business is good for Utah. Those attending will have a chance to talk to legislators.
Cooperating organizations are the Utah State Chamber of Commerce Association, Utah Manufacturers Association, Utah Mining Association, Utah Petroleum Association and the Utah Taxpayers Association.
