Glenda R. Wood and her son, Richard (Woody) Wood, both died January 2, 1991 from injuries received in a multiple vehicle accident.

Glenda Rose Cruser Wood was born September 2, 1910 in Fairview, Utah to Nephi and Ada Brady Cruser. She married Vernal Wood in 1929 in Murray, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1947. Moved to Monticello in 1952. Retired from Monticello Post Office after 22 years. Active member of the LDS Church. President of the Primary, Murray 2nd Ward, also a Stake Primary leader. Served as president of Murray PTA. She helped to organized the first Primary in Dove Creek, Colorado. Member of the DUP and Rebus Rota Club. She loved genealogy which was her hobby. She worked with her sister, Nina in the Name Extraction Program for the past nine years. She was greatly loved and respected and will be missed by all.Survived by two sons and two daughters, Vernal T. (Turk) Wood, Bountiful; Merrill A. Wood, Murray; Ada Suzanne Shaw, Aurora; Linda Jane Bailey, Englewood, Colo.; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Irene Smithen, Tremonton; Nina C. Hyde, Monticello. Preceded in death by three brothers.

Richard Dean (Woody) Wood was born September 17, 1938 in Murray to Vernal and Glenda Rose Cruser Wood. Married Glendena Wilkins May 16, 1958 in Monticello, Utah. He was an owner and operator of a trucking business. Enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Survived by his wife, West Valley City; one daughter and two sons, Cindy Lee Vunder, Virginia; Mike Richard Wood, Sid Glen Wood, both West Valley City; granddaughters, Rebel Wood, and Christine Vunder; two brothers, Vernal T.; and Merrill A., two sisters, Ada Suzanne Shaw; and Linda Jane Bailey.

Joint funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jordan 7th Ward, 3650 West 4400 South. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
