James F. Bowman, age 36, died January 4, 1990 in a Price hospital.

Born July 9, 1954 in Renton, Washington, son of Wilbur Leroy and Mildred Lehman Bowman. Married Daryl Lee Pollock October 28, 1972 at Notre Dame De Lourdes Catholic Church, Price. Jim lived for his family, he loved to enjoy bowling and water skiing at Lake Powell with them. Member of Carbon Emery Softball League for many years. A 16 year employee of Cyprus Plateau Mining Corp. He earned his fire boss and foreman papers for underground coal mining. A certified master electrician for the State of Utah. He received Plateau's Mining Safety Award for designing of a fail proof safety system for electrical shuttle cars. This greatly improved production time. Member of Price Elks Lodge #1550. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.Survived by his wife, Daryl; two daughters, Nicole Marie; and Kristyn Michelle, all Price; his mother Millie and her husband Jim Gilcoletto, Price; one sister and two brothers, Pat Bowman, and Bill Bowman, both Price; and Mike Bowman, Reton, Wash.

Funeral services Tuesday, 10 a.m., Mitchell Chapel, where friends may call Monday and Tuesday prior to services. Family will be at Mitchells Tuesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
