Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Ethel Harbottle Dean Flynn, passed away January 4, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah of causes incident to her age.
Born May 8, 1906 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to James and Marion M. Dean. Married Reuben Michael Flynn December 11, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 27, 1979.Active member of the LDS Church, faithful temple worker, Relief Society Presidency, genealogist, and choir member. She was a lifelong member of the Friendship Club. She created a legacy of Family genealogical records for her numerous posterity. Accompanied husband on a full time mission to Australia and supported him during two additional missions while raising a young family. She loved working in he garden and large fruit orchard.
Survived by three sons, Richard R. Flynn and wife Sylvia; David D. Flynn and wife Judy, all Salt Lake City; and Michael J. Flynn and wife Linda, of Bountiful; 22 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Myrtle Setterstrom, Ivy Rockwood, and Grace Keddington. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Tuesday, January 8, 1991, in the Monument Park 8th Ward, 1794 South Texas Street (2390 East). Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Monday, 6-8 p.m. and at the ward Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
