William Alan Boes, age 49, died January 4, 1991 in Salt Lake City, due to injuries sustained in a car accident.

Born May 12, 1941 in Carlsbad, N.M., son of Fred J. and Lessie E. Buckner Boes. Married Margaret Long, June 7, 1969 in Moriarty, New Mexico. Attended New Mexico State University and New Mexico Highlands University. Worked for Blue-Cross Shield as a Senior Programmer/Analyst. Member of the Christ United Methodist Church. He and his wife served as a presenting team couple for Marriage Encounter United Methodist. He was also a member of Toastmasters and the Salt Shakers Square Dance Club. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially skiing and flying. One of his many goals was to run in the St. George Marathon, which he was able to do and complete.Survived by wife, Margaret Boes, son, James Dale Boes, daughter, Donna Waynette Boes, sisters, Ruby Beth Dumont, Phoenix, Arizona; Carol M. Mall, Carlsbad, N.M.; Linda G. Humphrey, LaCanada, Calif.; and Sandra S. Taylor, Plano, Texas; brothers, Don C. Boes, Carlsbad, N.M.; and Ron L. Boes, Chandler, Arizona; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Al and Mary Cavasos, Salt Lake; and a host of friends and relatives world wide.

Memorial services will be held 7 p.m., Monday, January 7, at Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 So. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to Wesley Bell Ringers of Christ United Methodist Church or United Methodist Marriage Encounter. Funeral directors, Evans & Early.
