Miss America Marjorie Judith Vincent is due to attend a party by an appointee of one-time Haitian dictator Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier, and if she does, there could be words. The Philadelphia Daily News reported that some members of the city's 8,000-strong Haitian community will boycott the party Monday. They are upset with Haitian Consul General Albert Momjian, appointed during the regime of Duvalier, who was ousted in 1986. Momjian is hosting the party for the Haitian-American Vincent. "Everyone should get together for the party," said organizer Marie Jerome, who fears Vincent may cancel her appearance.
