Dale H. Petersen age 82 died Jan. 2, 1991 at his home.
Born March 25, 1908 in Glenwood, Sevier County Utah, a son of Christian and Mary Ann Williams Petersen. Married Mary Priscilla Farnsworth June 25, 1930 in the Manti LDS Temple. Graduated from Richfield High School and attended BYU. He lived a life of service to his family, community and church. Member of American Fork Hospital Board, Lions Club, BYU Stadium Campaign.Served as mayor of Salina, Utah, as stake president for 13 years in North Sevier Stake, as patriarch in the American Fork North Stake for past 23 years and as a sealer in the Provo LDS Temple. Received the Jaycee's Distinguish Service Key Award, Worked for Christensen's Department Stores for 58 years. He was the Owner and operator of the American Fork Christensen Store.
Survived by his wife and four daughters Mrs. Howard (Janet) Nielsen, Salina, Mrs. Dale L. (Margene) Shumway, Mrs. Jim (Jill) Clinton both of American Fork, Mrs. Ward (Judy) Forsyth, Aurora (Currently serving an LDS mission in Chile), 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; one sister Edna Fillmore, Richfield.
Funeral services will be Saturday 12 o'clock in the American Fork North Stake Center, 975 North 60 East. Friends may call Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Friday 6-8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, Richfield Cemetery.
