Perfect form. Enough so that Park City skier Jeff Olson beat a field of 75 U.S., Canadian and European racers Thursday at Snowbasin to win the second Nor-Am Super G race. Olson said he made no mistakes on the nearly one-mile long high-speed course. To win the event he beat out another Park City ski racer, Jeremy Nobis. Nobis is currently one of the hottest young skiers on the U.S. Ski Team and was winner of the first Nor-Am Super G on Wednesday. Olson has not had the early-season successes enjoyed by Nobis and was sent back to the U.S. from Europe to get in some training and regain some of his confidence. This race accomplished both goals, he said. Nobis, who has won four giant slalom and one Super G event, was moved from the B to the A squad on the U.S. Ski Team. It was also announced that Stephanie Palmer of Park City was put on the B squad. See the complete story on page B6.
