Tom Till, one of Utah's best-known landscape photographers, will teach a photo workshop in February focusing on the delights of soft winter lighting in Arches National Park.

Lighting, composition and the special problems of photographing slickrock are to be covered by the course, offered by Canyonlands Field Institute of Moab. The workshop will be held Feb. 15-17.Till, who lives in Moab, has extensively photographed the scenery of southern Utah. He often treks into Arches for his pictures. His books include "Utah: Magnificent Wilderness," and "Outcroppings," which was produced in collaboration with author John McPhee.
