F. Seaton Prince, a prominent Salt Lake attorney and civic leader, will be honored Saturday during a memorial service.

Mr. Prince, 80, died Jan. 1 at Indian Wells, Calif.Mr. Prince was a founding partner and 50-year member of the law firm that became Prince Yeates & Geldzahler. He was a member of the Utah State Bar, Salt Lake County Bar, State Bar of California and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Prince was born Dec. 11, 1910 in San Francisco, the son of Col. F.A. and Guyla Seaton Prince. He attended Salt Lake City schools and the University of Utah before enrolling at the University of Washington where he earned a degree in 1932. He graduated from the Harvard Law School in 1935.

Mr. Prince married the former Barbara Browning of Ogden on June 10, 1935. He practiced law in Los Angeles for two years before returning to Salt Lake in 1937.

Mr. Prince served as president of the Salt Lake Country Club and the Alta Club, served as president of Portland Cement Co. and was a director of Western Savings and Loan Co. and the Browning Arms Co.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and six grandchildren.

Saturday's memorial service will be at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 12 C Street. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the University of Utah School of Medicine in Mr. Prince's name.
