F. Seaton Prince, lawyer, died on January 1, 1991 in Indian Wells, California, due to emphysema and heart failure.

He was born at Letterman General Hospital at the Presidio in San Francisco, California December 11, 1910, a son of Guyla Seaton and Col. F. A. Prince. His boyhood was spent in various cities in the United States due to the vagaries of the Army. Later he attended public schools in Salt Lake City and spent two years at the University of Utah, then graduated from the University of Washington in 1932. He received his law degree at Harvard Law School in 1935. He married Barbara Browning in Salt Lake City on June 10, 1935.He was one of the founding partners of the firm which was to become Prince, Yeates & Geldzahler in Salt Lake City, where he practiced for over 50 years. He was a member of the Utah State Bar, Salt Lake County Bar, State Bar of California and the American Bar Association.

He enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II, saw action in the Pacific Theatre, and received an honorable discharge as a Lieut. Commander in 1945.

Always an avid golfer, he was past president of the Salt Lake Country Club, former director of Eldorado County Club, Indian Wells, California and also served as a director of the Desert Seniors at the time of his death. He was chairman of the Western Golf Association Tournament held in Salt Lake City during the Centennial Celebration in 1947.

He was a member and past president of the Alta Club in Salt Lake City. He was formerly on the Boards of Browning Arms, Western Savings and Loan Company and Portland Cement.

Mr. Prince is survived by his wife, Barbara, sons, Frederick Seaton Prince, Jr. of Orinda, California; John B. Prince of Salt Lake City, Utah and Robert B. Prince of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and six grandchildren.

Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, South Temple and C Streets, Salt Lake City, on Saturday, January 5, 1991, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Mr. Prince's name to the University of Utah School of Medicine, A-2753, 50 No. Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84132.
