Alvin Le Roy Scoggan, age 69, died January 2, 1991 at his home in Kearns, Utah.

Born January 17, 1921 in Latuda, Utah to Noble D. and Harriet Strong Scoggan. Married Ida Paulson Woodard October 18, in Elko, Nevada. Member of the LDS Church. Veteran of World War II and Korean conflict in the US Army. Eagle Scout. He worked for Kennecott Copper Corp as a machinist for 38 years. 40 year member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles in Murray.Survived by his wife, Ida; children, Alene S. Allen, West Valley City; Vern Lee Woodard, San Jose Calif.; Patricia (Pat) Wilson, Tooele; Lora Lee Burdick, Kearns; Larry O. Woodard, South Jordan; Richard Le Roy Woodard, Taylorsville; 34 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ethel Smith, Jackie Holt, Jerry Ray Scoggan. Preceded in death by daughter, La Jean Smith Burdick; grandson, Lee O. Woodard; brother, Max Leon Scoggan.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Burial, Redwood Memorial Estates.
