John Peak, age 83, died January 1, 1991, Salt Lake City.

Born April 21, 1907, Green River, Utah, son of John and Katie Peak. Married Emma Clinger, 1929. She died April 18, 1978. Member of the LDS Church. Resident of East Carbon since 1943. With his family he was one of the first residents of Dragerton. Former employee U.S. Steel at Horse Canyon Coal Mine. He was Tipple foreman, prior to retirement in 1970. He devoted 20 years of faithful service to Scouting as a Scout Master.Survived by two daughters, three sons, LaRay Rader, Jim Peak, both Salt Lake City; Jackie Taylor Mason, Surfside, California; Donald Peak, Paonia, Colorado; John M. Peak, East Carbon City; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Domenico, Price; Grace Dunn, Las Vegas, Nevada. Preceded in death by grandson, Ronnie Taylor.

Funeral services Friday, 12 noon, East Carbon LDS Ward Chapel. Friend may call Mitchell Chapel Thursday. Family will be at the Ward Chapel one hour prior to services. Burial: Price City Cemetery.
