A seven-week class on assertiveness for youth age 13 to 17 is being offered by Davis County Mental Health each Tuesday beginning Jan. 15 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the local mental health clinic.

The class will help young persons distinguish between passive, aggressive, and assertive behavior, covering peer pressure, making and refusing requests, coping with criticism, developing self-esteem and increasing communication skills, especially with parents.Instructor is Rhonda Feller.
