Begin the new year with a commitment to healthy, heart-conscious eating.

The Salt Lake County of USU Extension will present a discussion titled "Healthy New Year - Lowering Fat and Cholesterol in the Diet," Tuesday, January 8, at 12 noon at the Salt Lake County Government Center, 2001 South State, Room S1007-1008. The class is free and will include cooking tips, recipes and samples, information on selection of convenience foods and eating out.An additional course on food storage topics will be taught during January and February by JoAnn Mortensen.
